2025 Float Dodger Dedicated to: Christi Rohlena
Beloved sister of West Seattle Runner owner, Lori.
Christi was born on April 1st, 1982 in Everett Washington to Francis and Emily. She was born into a large family, ten siblings came before her and one after her, but this did not stop her from standing out and shining through. Christi forged her own unique identity and was brave enough to be her true self, allowing others to feel they could be accepted by her just as they were, free of judgement. Christi had an innate sweetness and thoughtfulness towards others, as well as a love of animals from an early age. Christi was a loyal sister and friend, standing up for and looking after those she loved. She was unassuming and truly grateful for acts of love she received. Her pets were always referred to as her “kids” or “babies” and she cared for them deeply. Christi made her decisions and found resiliency by looking to God for answers. Christi’s final years were spent in Colorado, where she enjoyed being close to family. Christi eventually lived with her brother, Stephen and her nephews, Dylan and Ryder. She loved being an “auntie” to the boys, treasured her time with them and offered them adventure and fun. It was here that she blossomed and grew, finding a joyful work environment where she was described by co-workers as joyful and enthusiastic. It brought her loved ones joy to see her thriving and opening her life to love and new adventures. Christi’s childlike spirit was a gift in this world, brightening lives with her magnificent smile.
